yippee at last

I finally have some good news!! I am going to start a new job on Tuesday, only temp until I go back to uni but at least I will have a bit of extra cash till then. Went to Chester today to sort it out the I wet to Primark to get some stuff for a party tomorrow.  The theme is 80's so I am wearing a ra-ra skirt, vest top and loads of neon jewellery and my converse trainers will prob buy some fluorescent socks and gloves from Stafford market as well.
Just ordered a some chicken and chips and chocolate cake from Perfect Pizza. I know I said I was on diet but I just can't be bothered to start yet.
I will post some pics of the party on Sunday when I have recovered.
Hope everyone has a great bank Holiday weekend.
lots of Love Vanessa

waiting

This week I have been waiting all the time. I am the most impatient person ever and that is all I have been doing. Admittedly most of this is because i have been waiting for a parcel or something, but if someone says they will call at such and such a time or they will be home at a certain time then why am I still waiting 30 mins later. I need to get a life!!!!!

Well I stayed in today waiting for an order to arrive and did it ? Of course not!!! So today was a wasted day. Watched a DVD(Misery) and have just finished watching Diagnosis Murder.
Tonight I might be going out for a curry, even though I took some lamb out of the freezer for today it's good to be spontaneous occasionally. (And my BF is normally the least spontaneous person around)
I am already thinking about what to have. Mmmm. I normally have lamb dhanshak which is mild with lentils and pineapple but I might try something new tonight. I don't like anything too spicy and I dont' like curries with cream or coconut or one that they do at my local- with caramelised bananas!!!!! YUCK.  So my fussiness tends to limit my choices really. Also I don't really like to try new things in case I don't like it or find it too spicy then I've wasted my money. I suppose I shouldn't really be thinking about curry as its not really diet food and the portions that they give you are huge!!! But this will be my treat and as I am supposed to be going out on the weekend, it's probably best if I start my diet next Tuesday after the bank holiday. Defo going to lose a stone before xmas. Watch this space!!!
I downloaded Angry Birds for my phone last night after ,my BF had. It's soooo addictive. I flattened my battery going through all the levels. Am still ont he first stage but its really good. Normally I'm the sort of person who gives up on games after a while but I've told myself to persevere this time.
Nowt else happening today so I might as well bid you farewell

What I've been up to today.

Hi everyone. Well today has been  better than yesterday. Woke up this morning and the weather seemed nice for a change so I decided to go shopping. The shopping park is about 20 mins drive from where I live so as the sun was out i thought I would put my sunglasses on. Any way by the time I reached it was chucking it down!!! I looked at a shop which sells hosey stuff cheap. I have been living with my boyfriend for about 3 years now but I still haven't got the place just how I like it. So I saw loads of stuff that I will have  to get BF to buy when we go shopping together. He hates shopping though.
then I got a coffee in Costa and a chocolate twist. I am supposed to be on a diet and really should have had some cereal before I left the house so that I wouldn't give in to temptation. After the coffee I went to Boots and ended up spending a tenner when I only went in there for some cheap shampoo. I really need to stop going to Boots!! So after I had felt I had spent enough money that I don't really have I went to Smiths. i was looking at getting some stationery stuuf for going back to uni but managed to convince myself that I don't really need a new stapler or loads of paper and pens and what I did need would probably be cheaper in Tesco where I was headed next. Tesco's was quite alright actually. I don't normally go there not because I am a snob but because in my town its the othersid eof town from where I live and I normally end up going on a saturday when its packed full of chavs. Its just easier for me to pop into sainsburys on my way back home. So I havd a good look aroung tesco and bought quite a bit of stuff. A lot of it was food and as i have decided that me and bf need to lose weight I bought loads of vegetable so I'm goning to do mixed reoast veggies tonight wth bbq chicken. I think that sound quite healthy. Tomorrow I will do a curry but instaed of haveing two (large) nan breads each we will prob have rice and one each. On thurs I think we'll have lamb tagine with couscous. I know that lamb is quite fatty so I probably won't use much but try and bulk it out with more veggies. We normally have a take away on a Friday- either a curry, pizza or kebab. I don't think that the problem is what we have its more the portion sizes. BF refuses to share or oder a small pizza for some strange reason!!! Oh and I like to have a bottle of wine too.
On saturdays we normally just eat where ever we are like last saturday we were in Liverpool so went to Zizzi. I had spagetti and meatballs it ws lush. BF obvioulsy had pizza. I think hes gonna turn into one!!! It wasn't a mamouth portion and after i felt a bit quesy on the 'liverpool eye' (don't know if its got a proper name) I decided that I wanted fish and chips on the way back. Normally I don't indulge in fish and chips as the two shops near me aren't that good but this time they weren't that bad. Not as good as the ones I had in Conwy last year though.
So i probably should go and start the dinner as BF should be back home soon.
Till next time
Love Vanessa
